Why KUKASKI?
Our Story: Where Passion Wove Roots
Our story was born out of the need to leave a mark, a legacy, a legacy in people's lives and connect with them through passionate designs; a space where the hands of an artisan could create objects that make life more beautiful, without asking for anything in return.
It was 2014, and at that time, we had only one certainty: the spaces we inhabit should be havens of joy, never cages of the ephemeral.
The First Steps: Resisting the Passage of Time
We began by making outdoor furniture that defied the seasons. We didn't want the rain to wash away the laughter on a terrace, or the sun to fade the shared sunsets. Soon, neighbours and hoteliers whispered our name - KUKASKI - as a synonym for untamed beauty.
One day, a customer asked us for something impossible: ‘I want the warmth of rattan... without the fragility’. And so our synthetic rattan sheets were born. It wasn't just a material: it was an embrace between the wild and the sustainable. We wove resilience with poetry, and discovered that we could dress projects - from a balcony in Beijing to a spa in Bali - with elegance that never grows old.
Today: Weaving Futures
KUKASKI is no longer just a workshop, an idea or a desire; it is a community. Every piece of furniture that withstands a storm, every sheet that filters the light in a hospital, every floor that cradles the steps of a grandmother are stories that remind us why we exist:
